10 reasons to get excited about ASDIE tomorrow

Estimated read time: 5 minutes

We’ve waited patiently and now, it’s almost here – this year’s Annual Summit for Digital Innovation in Education takes place in London tomorrow!

We’re all set for a full day of listening, learning, talking and more – in fact, we even get to round off the event with our fantastic student panel.

Anyway, to get you in the mood for a cracking event, here’s a bunch of things we’re really excited about.

A day of headspace

The combination of ASDIE’s killer lineup and the chance to get away from the day-to-day for a few hours gives you plenty of opportunity to free up some headspace and then fill it with notes and ideas. Set your out of office, forget about work for the day and get comfortable!

A thoughtful start

Kicking things off is Stripe Partners’ Simon Roberts, who will be talking about being digital in the age of the human. He joined us on our podcast a couple of weeks ago to give us a sneak peek of what he’ll be talking about and, frankly, we can’t wait to hear the full session…it’s sure to be memorable.

Ok Google

Next up, another recent guest of The Native Podcast – Google’s Meaghan Rogers, who is talking about embracing change to be more assistive. It’s not often you get to hear from one of the biggest and most influential brands in the world – and to do that with a specific spin on Universities? That should be incredibly valuable.

Videos with Facebook

Talking big and influential brands…how about Facebook? They big enough for you? Lizzy Lillington-Lester will be first on after the mid-morning coffee break to talk all things video and offering tips to show how you can use video to get closer to your audiences. Nice.

You’re worth it

Immediately before lunch is our friend Mastak Pal Kaur from L’Oreal, who will be giving you a loads of tips on how to stay ahead of the technological game and create awesome content that young people want to see. We’ve seen Mastak speak before and she is great – definitely worth it!

The lunch on offer at ASDIE is legendary. The best conference food you’ll ever eat? Quite probably. Nom.

All about brand

Right after lunch, you’ll hear from yet another recent guest on The Native Podcast – ISM’s Justin Pace. He was only on our podcast for around 20 minutes and learned a LOT, so his session is definitely not to be missed. Tips on branding, rebranding and more!

Get out

In this age of mobile this and digital that, does out-of-home advertising still have a role? Well, duh, absolutely – and JCDecaux’s Gerard North will be explaining why. If you’ve ever wanted to jump into the world of OOH and be sure you’re making the most of it, this session is for you.

Over to us

The final session of the day is our live student panel, where we’ll be offering you the chance to put your questions to a panel of current UK undergraduate students. Not only that, you won’t even need to take notes either, as we’ll be recording the session and posting it as a podcast next week. Don’t forget, you can meet our panel and submit a question in advance right here.

Once our session is done, it’s onto the open bar for a drink and a chinwag. Excellent.

That all sounds good, doesn’t it? See you there!
