Anyway, here’s What is Good to watch this week…
You might struggle to believe that a three-and-a-half minute video of people shaving is a good watch, but this piece from Dollar Shave Club really is excellent. It’s full of character, full of characters (plural) and you should check it out.
This hero film from the University of Wyoming is cracking. It’s caused a bit of stir online since it dropped because of its use of a gendered word like ‘cowboys’. But, to be fair to them, that *is* their thing. So, push that to one side and simply enjoy the visual spectacle they’ve pulled together.
Believe as one
If you’re sick of the World Cup then feel free to scroll past this one. But, if you do, you’ll be missing a neat little film from Nike that really captures the lay of the footballing land in England in the post-Russia 2018 we now live in. Stirring stuff.
This new ad for Cadbury’s Twirl is full of charm – they’re clearly setting themselves to the be the latest advert that has characters that reappear and develop their story over a number of clips, but that’s fine. This pair seem fairly watchable.
Yes, another World Cup video – but this is a Cassetteboy treatment of footballing punditry, so you’ll enjoy it regardless of what you think about football itself. “The football people take the ball and kick the ball” is our favourite line.
